No, that’s not a typo. It’s not a Buffalo Wild Wings. I did a double take when I initially read it too. It’s probably done intentionally to be close to B-Dubs. Here’s the info via the Jackson Citizen-Patriot.
Buffalo Barbeque Wings, a sports bar and grill, opened Monday.
Buffalo Barbeque Wings is at 1085 N. Wisner St. in the plaza behind Biggby Coffee. It’s open 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and noon to 11 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 782-4344.
There’s no website that I can find so there’s not a whole lot of information. All I can find is this little bit of info on the owner. Somebody down there in Jackson check it out and let me know how it is….I do love me some chicken wings!
UPDATE 8/17/08 – If you get to this page through Google, I’ve eaten at Buffalo Barbeque Wings and reviewed it since I wrote this intial post. You can find my review and a menu by clicking HERE.
I work in Jackson…will try to give you a drive by.
The place just opened Monday, July 21st. My son works there. Nice place. Many tv’s with a couple of large projection screens. Has smoking and non-smoking sections. Menu has bone-in and boneless wings with 14 different sauces. The hottest sauce you have to sign a waiver for. Also has burgers, wraps, salads and various chicken sandwiches. They have about 15 beers on tap and long with several other beverages. I heard they are planning on a grand opening on Saturday, August 2nd. Their special is on Tuesdays, where wings are 50 cents a piece.
Thanks for the info. Kind of reaffirms my original gut feeling, but at the same time, I’m sure it fills a need in that market and will be successful. Everyone loves sports bars and everyone loves wings!
The place looks nice and is a total clone of a BW-3, right down to the layout, type of paneling on the walls, decorations, and style of furniture (light colored wood, tall tables in bar area, set up of bar). Even the menu is almost identical. The wing sauce list is a dead copy, except that they also have a honey mustard sauce. It’s like they took a picture of a BW-3 and it’s menu, then changed just enough names to not get sued for any sort of brand infringement. Not that I’m really complaining, Jackson could use a place like this, and I’ll definitely go back. I just think it’s funny that it’s such a detailed copy.
That’s what I was thinking. Not a bad thing. There are places that have actually franchised by copying a theme and made a lot of money doing so.
Show-Me’s is a popular chain of restaurants in Missouri and Illinois. They are a direct copy of Hooters. The outfits are exactly the same except they are purple instead of orange.

I’m almost eager to drive up there and check that place out. What’s the address?
If that’s a serious comment and not spam, the address is in the original article……1085 N. Wisner St, Jackson, MI
[…] ago when the Jackson Citizen-Patriot ran a blurb about it’s opening. I blogged about (here) and I have gotten hundreds of hits for that post. When you type “Buffalo Barbecue (sic) […]

This place is awesome. It looks like a hole in the wall bar from the outside, but once you get in it’s very big. Nice tv’s great food, awesome specials. Jackson really needed a place like this and I believe it will be very successful. The word is spreading quick.
I’ve been in there a couple times for dinner or lunch with friends. Have gotten very good service more often than not and their chicken wrap was very good. Friends have enjoyed the wings as well. Overall a good thing for the area I think.
