Lugnuts Announce Food Stimulus Plan
LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Lugnuts announced an answer on Friday to the worsening status of the national economy, rolling out the Lugnuts Food Stimulus Plan for the 2009 season.
The Lugnuts Food Stimulus Plan comprises new Dollar Dog Tuesdays, new Kids Eat Free on Sundays, new Oldsmobile Park Value Meals and the popular Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursdays.
“These are challenging times for Michiganders,” said Lansing Lugnuts Co-Owner Sherrie Myers. “Our Lugnuts Food Stimulus Plan will make it easier for our fans to step up to the plate. We’re especially excited about Dollar Dog Tuesdays and Kids Eat Free on Sundays.”
During every Tuesday home game, hot dogs will be sold for just $1 apiece. During every Sunday home game, kids aged 12 and under will receive a coupon for a free kids hot dog and a free 12 oz. Pepsi product as they enter Oldsmobile Park.
In addition, the Lugnuts are introducing special Value Meals to the menu at Oldsmobile Park. A kids hot dog, 16 oz. Pepsi product and bag of potato chips, normally a $6.00 purchase, will cost just $4.75. For adults, a selection of one of six different entrée options may be paired with a 16 oz Pepsi product and a bag of chips as a Value Meal, saving a customer from $1.50-$2.25.
“With the return of $2 drink specials during Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursdays,” Myers added, “the Lugnuts will continue to provide the great value and positively outrageous customer service for which we’ve become well-known in the mid-Michigan region.”
Season tickets and group tickets to the 2009 season are on sale now at www.lansinglugnuts.com or by calling the Lugnuts front office at 517-485-4500. Single game tickets for the 2009 season will go on sale on Saturday, March 28.
The Lugnuts’ 14th season will start on Thursday, April 9, at Oldsmobile Park against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
